My favourite place to go locally. Always lovely staff ans such a cozy atmosphere. Great for families of all ages too. Food is amazing I highly suggest trying the fish and chips and toffee sponge for after 😋

The food was so good here we had a very nice steak for our evening meal and breakfast was excellent 👌. Can't fault the service and nothing was too much bother. I was slightly disappointed with my room a camp bed for my little boy was a extra £15 which was quite steep I thought. The kettle was dirty inside, all the surfaces were just a bit dusty and we had to go and ask for the hot water to be sorted out but other than that a pleasant room .

Lovely hotel, all staff very friendly and go completely above and beyond. They even baked a beautiful cake and decorated the table for my 2 year old niece which was fantastic. All the staff even came out for the cake. Highly recommend! Steak pie is also perfect for dinner.

Often travel the A68 for work, always wanted to stop off and try Carfraemill. Glad we did, phenomenal service! Warm and welcoming environment topped off with great food. Definitely a hidden gem, think we’ll be squeezing in a stay and a few post meal drinks to break up the work trip next time. Highly recommend!

Met here with extended family for a meal, they had been a few times before and enjoyed the experience. However, I have to agree with recent reviews as I found the menu options limited, the fish pie was no better than a store bought ready …

Staff friendly and attentive. Had 3 courses and all of them were delicious and value for money. Dog friendly which is a bonus.

Lovely hotel for a single night stopover for work just outside Edinburgh. Couldn't fault the service and the food was fantastic! Pretty close to a main road so some traffic noise but nothing too bad!

Had a great experience here. Food and service were excellent and the venue was clean and tidy and cosy, gave off a really warm and Christmassy feel which added to the experience. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
